7 key Prom make items that every girl should have on Prom night;

Concealer. Hides blemishes, scars, spots, dark circles, and reddish eyelids. Avergae cost: $11)

Foundation. Coverage powder falls under this category too, since they both do a good job of covering up and smoothing out the skin surface. They differ from concealers in that they cover less (less opaque) and are meant to polish off your face with warm color tones and a flawless finish. They come in liquid, liquid powder or cream based and powder forms. The cheaper brands often use cheaper pigments which don't blend well with normal skin tones, so spend well if you decide to use foundation or you may look like a clown at the circus. This is one of the two make-up items that I am always willing to spend more money on, the other is lipstick. (Average cost $10-$50)

Blush. This is a finishing product that adds dimension to your face. You are actually applying false shadows under your cheek bones to give the illusion of high cheekbones. TIP: Apply the blush from your hair line down towards your jaw, never apply it upwards. (Average cost: $10)

Eye Liners. Great for deepening the eyes, defining the shape of the eyes and deepening those shadows that draw attention to our eyes. (Average cost: $1- $20)

Eye Shadow. We accentuate the eyes by adding color to areas where we want shadows. You do not need to wear eye shadow though, because if it is not done right it can either make you look messy and draw too much attention to your eyes or make you look like a harlot. So have a make up artist show you how or leave it out. Eyeliner and lipstick can be more than enough, especially if you never wear any makeup at all. If you normally wear eye liner you might want to punch up your normal look by adding some drama with eye shadow. (Average cost: $15)

Mascara. This will lengthen, darken and thicken your eyelashes. It enhances the eyes and is a nice addition to eyeliner. It adds balance to the eyes when eye shadow and liner are used. People who do not have eyelashes look strange to us and people with very naturally thick and long lashes look prettier to us. (Average cost: $10)

Lips. This is a must. It is the only thing I wear even when I am just going to the gym. Deep color on the lips makes your mouth stand out and look healthy and attractive. Pale lips are a sign of illness that is why pale lipstick have not taken the world by storm. Even if the shade is just 1 or 2 shades darker than your skin your lips should always be darker than your face. It is the subconcious language of health, beauty and sensuality to have robust lips with deep healthy color. Also people tend to stare at your mouth as the focal point of your face when you speak. (Average cost: $12-20)
